Set in Sydney, 1999, after an unlikely encounter at a train station, a young terminally ill girl with an incurable virus befriends a fugitive teenage boy and they travel to visit a moon rock that the girl believes will heal her.

Writer/director Kurt Martin’s film stars Aaron Jeffery (The FloodX Men Origins: Wolverine, Palm Beach), George Pullar (CoyotePlaying For Keeps, A Place To Call Home) and newcomer Ashlyn Louden-Gamble in the title role of Monday.

Moon Rock For Monday centres on a terminally ill girl and a fugitive who embark on a road trip to visit a moon rock the girl believes will heal her.

To date the film has won 6 awards and received 16 nominations. Moon Rock For Monday has been selected for Adelaide Film Festival in South Australia, CinefestOz in Western Australia, Ale Kino Family Film Festival Poland, Byron Bay International Film Festival NSW, Capricorn Film Festival & Vision Splendid Outback Film Festival in Queensland and won the two top awards at the Schlingel Film Festival in Germany- Jury Prize & FIPRESCI Prize (International Federation of Film Critics). It also Best Feature Film, Best Screenplay and best lead actor at the 2021 Australian Screen Industry Network Awards.
